What Businesses Ask.
Is sanitization the same as physical destruction?
Physical destruction is one sanitization method. Other sanitization methods can preserve media for reuse. The choice depends on media type, condition, information sensitivity and your policy.
Can you handle failed or damaged drives?
Yes. Identify damaged media during planning. Failed or inaccessible drives need a handling route suited to their condition, with the exception and final outcome recorded.
Can you arrange on-site erasure or destruction?
Yes. On-site erasure or partner-supported physical destruction can be arranged. We confirm the media, location, volume, access, provider availability and documentation before scheduling.
MEDIA SANITIZATION REFERENCE
Choose the Method for the Media.
NIST SP 800-88 Revision 2 describes media sanitization and the Clear, Purge and Destroy methods. Deleting files or formatting a drive alone does not establish a verified sanitization result. The selected method and verification requirements belong in the project scope.
